UX Found Me

Graduated Engineering in Computer Science in 2020, but somewhere along the way, I realised my future wasn’t just lines of code. Late-night college projects introduced me to something I didn’t expect: User Experience Design. It was everything I loved rolled into one—people, pixels, and problem-solving. From that moment, I knew I was all in.

Like many others, my career began at home during the pandemic. While the world slowed down, I doubled down on learning—UX Design, Psychology, and Visual Design became my foundation. My very first gig came from a client in the US, which meant late-night calls, endless revisions, and a lot of caffeine. Oddly enough, I enjoyed every moment of it.

In 2022, the UAE’s tech scene was booming, and I couldn’t resist being a part of it. Having studied in Abu Dhabi and with family already there, the move felt natural. I joined Bankiom, a promising fintech startup backed by 500 Global, where I got to design at the intersection of finance and innovation.

The following year, something unexpected happened. One of my freelance clients, OurShopee, returned with a full-time offer. It was a hybrid role—the best of both worlds. I took the leap and explored the B2B e-commerce landscape, helping shape their platform and user experience.

In 2024, a friend pitched a bold idea in travel tech. I couldn’t ignore the excitement (or the FOMO), so I jumped in. Together, we built a B2B travel app from scratch—transforming a vision into a real product that could redefine how travel works in India. The adrenaline of startup life? Unmatched.

The startup journey taught me more than I could have imagined—about design, business, and resilience. Now, I’m ready to bring that experience back to the UAE’s dynamic ecosystem. Dubai’s energy and innovation inspire me, and I can’t wait to be part of building what comes next.
